MISSION: to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

MORE ABOUT WHAT WE DO AND WHAT WE BELIEVE: can be found here and here.

WORSHIP SERVICES: Our worship style is “blended,” combining what we hope are the best elements of traditional and contemporary worship. We worship at 9:30 on the first Sunday of the month followed by a potluck fellowship brunch.  On all other Sundays, services are at 8:10 am in the chapel and at 10:50 am in the sanctuary. We celebrate Holy Communion an average of once a month, usually on the first Sunday of the month. We have an “open table” for Holy Communion, meaning everyone present is invited to partake. Childcare is provided in the nursery during worship services.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES: We have educational opportunities for all ages at 9:30 Sunday morning, and short term studies during the week. More information about children’s Sunday School is available on the children’s page.

PEOPLE: People were at the heart of Jesus’ ministry. Members and friends are at the core of First United Methodist Church. We are called to actively live out our faith as we continue to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the ways we do this is to make commitments of our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.

Pastor Nicole Preaching

PASTOR: Rev. Nicole Schwartz-Eck is the pastor of First United Methodist Church in Coffeyville. She spent some time in the classroom teaching, in AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (N.C.C.C.), and as a Community Mental Health Case Manager which she feels gave her a depth and breadth of experience to bring into ministry. She is excited to find new ways to help congregants live out the Great Commission and the mission of the United Methodist Church, to ” make disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world.”

STAFF: Mrs. Marla Larimore provides custodial services. Our choir director is Mrs. Faye Millen. Musical accompaniment is provided by Mrs. Carla Herring and Mrs. Janice Walker.

LOCATION: We can be found at the corner of 10th and Elm in Coffeyville, Kansas (at the end of the first block east of the Community College and just north of McDonald’s™).

WiFi: Wireless high speed internet access is available throughout the church building.
