This coming Sunday, February 15, 2009, I’ll be picking up our peculiar treasures theme, preaching on 2 Kings 5.1-14 and talking about Naaman and Elisha. Or at least that’s the plan for the moment.

The annual Wednesday Lenten Luncheons sponsored by the Coffeyville Ministerial Alliance will begin on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 and end on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. They will be held at the First Baptist Church at 9th and Elm. The serving of food will begin at 11:30. The suggested donation is $3. More details to follow.

We’ll have two pieces of special music this Sunday. Kevin Carnes will be sharing a piece and Kaylee Koch will play Fantasy by Carl Nielson on the Clarinet.

The Finance Committee has scheduled their next meeting for February 16, 2009. The committee will be finalizing the budget which then has to be approved by the Church Council.
